Ho, Ghana – The executives of the UHAS Alumni – School of Nursing and Midwifery (SONAM) Chapter, led by their President, Mr. Obed Kweku Amenyo, have met with the management of the School of Nursing and Midwifery to discuss strengthening alumni relations, institutional growth, and future collaborations.
The engagement, held at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), focused on enhancing alumni involvement in the school's development and exploring ways to foster a more impactful partnership between past students and the institution.
A major highlight of the meeting was the Dean’s pledge to support the alumni’s planned health outreach program for displaced residents of Keta affected by recent tidal waves. This initiative was suggested by the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, during a recent engagement with the alumni body.
Additionally, the Dean expressed his commitment to facilitating the establishment of the UHAS SONAM Alumni Secretariat and providing the necessary support for the inauguration of the chapter and its executive body.
