Hohoe, Volta Region - The KCFC Foundation concluded its week-long 5th Anniversary Celebrations in grand style on the evening of Saturday, May 17, 2025, with a memorable Awards and Dinner Gala held at Kikis Court in Hohoe. The elegant affair brought together members, dignitaries, and well-wishers for a night filled with joy, surprises, and heartfelt recognition.
Traditionally marked by a homecoming dinner, this year’s celebration took a more prestigious turn with the introduction of an awards segment to honor outstanding contributions by members and supporters of the Foundation.
A total of 56 awards were presented during the gala, with some individuals receiving multiple honors. Award categories included:
Mr. Christian Adusu-Donkor, Founder and Executive Director of KCFC Foundation, expressed deep appreciation to all members for their steadfast dedication since the Foundation's establishment in 2020.
“We are immensely grateful to every single member who has walked this journey with us. Your sacrifices and belief in our mission have made this milestone possible,” he said.
He also announced that two key interventions—KCFC Business Support Fund and KCFC Cares Insurance Scheme—will be officially activated following the celebrations. These initiatives are designed to provide financial and welfare support to members in times of business need, critical illness, permanent disability, or bereavement.
The event was attended by prominent personalities, including the Member of Parliament for Hohoe Constituency, Hon. Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Prosper Kumi.
Hon. Tsekpo, delivering a goodwill message, congratulated KCFC Foundation for its impressive journey and ongoing community-driven initiatives.
“As a former member, I am proud of the progress KCFC has made,” he said. “I’m particularly excited about the upcoming entrepreneurial support initiatives which will help members build sustainable livelihoods.”
Hon. Kumi commended the Foundation for its inclusive vision and expressed interest in collaborating on the Bedsheets for Sleep-in Health Facilities Project.
“This project aligns with our healthcare goals, and I am open to working with the Foundation to achieve its objectives,” he stated.
Mr. Patrick Ahumah, CEO of Kikis Court, was taken by surprise when he received a Citation of Honor from the Foundation. Visibly moved, he thanked the leadership and members for the recognition and reaffirmed his continued support for their activities.
“This honor is truly unexpected. I appreciate it deeply and pledge my full support to KCFC’s vision,” he said.
As the KCFC Foundation closes the chapter on its first five years, it does so with renewed purpose and a stronger bond among members and the community it serves. With a foundation rooted in the spirit of *Ubuntu – ‘I am because we are’*, the journey ahead looks promising.
