AGI President Calls for Stronger Trade Partnerships at Indian-Ghana Business Conclave

Accra, Ghana – February 27, 2025: The President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Dr. Humphrey Kwesi Ayim Darke, has called for a renewed focus on industrial collaboration and investment expansion at the Indian-Ghana Business Conclave held at the Marriott Hotel, Accra.

The high-profile event, organized in partnership with AGI and the Indian High Commission, was themed "Strengthening Trade, Investment, and Economic Partnership" and attracted key industrialists, policymakers, and business leaders from both nations.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Darke underscored the critical role of the private sector in adapting to economic shifts, particularly as the Ghanaian government moves toward a 24-hour economy. He urged businesses to rethink their strategies, deepen trade integration, and embrace global trends for sustainable growth.

"The world is not waiting for us," Dr. Darke emphasized. "We must make progress by leveraging strategic partnerships with local businesses, driven by trade policies such as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)."
